Rope lagging is manufactured from either ceramic or glass fibre with various braiding options depending on your application.
Key Features: It is lightweight and resilient with excellent resistance to high temperatures. It also has low thermal conductivity, excellent thermal stability and is resistant to thermal shock.
Applications: Sealing rings, expansion joint packing on boilers, chimney door seals, heat exchanger seals, furnace seals, kiln seals, oven door seals, bulbs for tadpole seal.
Glass Webbing tape is manufactured from fine uniform textured filaments of high bulk glass fibre yarns.
Ceramic webbing tape is manufactured from blown alumino-silcate fibre yarn which has been blended from high purity alumina and silica. A unique combination of physical and refractory properties makes this an outstanding material for use in high temperature applications.
Key Features:Ceramic - Superior high temperature strength and insulation properties. Asbestos free alternative, high tensile strength and is nickel chrome wire reinforced. Glass - Extra soft, thick and pliable with excellent insulation properties. Inorganic, sterile and incombustible. Resistant to oils, solvents and most chemicals. Low level of leachable chlorides and fluorides and low thermal conductivity.
Applications:Glass - Suitable for use as thermal insulation to pipes, exhausts and vessels. They are also used for pre-heat insulation, oven and furnace linings, seals, gaskets and welding applications for stress relief. Ceramic - Suitable for use in high temperature applications. This may include welding curtains, furnace curtains, high temperature clothing, personnel shield, fire protection drapes, thermocouple sleeves, pipe insulation, expansion joints and inspection door seals.
